The Butter Man is marvelous. I recommend Elizabeth Lett's adult titles as well. She's one of those rare authors who can write great stories for any age.
This book is a joy. The Alalous conjure the sights and smells and sounds of a Moroccan village and speak beautifully of the gifts of love and wisdom passed down to children in families everywhere. The illustrations are an utter delight. This is a book to share with a child you love.
